Leafs Take A Bite Out Of Habs

I don't have to talk about last nights game.  This is all I will say:

Actually, I don't even want to talk about the Eastern Conference because the Habs are probably going to somehow manage to lose to every single team in it.  You know what seems to be really cool this weekend?  Naming Canada's potential 2014 olympic mens hockey roster.  Since I have a total hate on right now for the Eastern Conference I have built my olympic picks using players solely from the West.  

And after the IOC chairmen went on national tv and told us that people in North America have ego problems, this list is probably not going to matter anyway.  Chicoutimi beer league division A probably has a better shot at playing in the olympics than NHL players do now.

Regardless, here is Team Canada Western Conference Addition.  Debate in the comment section.

We are fucked

As my friend AngryHabsFan eluded to already, yesterday was the end of the world as we know it for Sens fans. Matt Cooke's skate caught Karlsson in the Achilles tendon last night on a scuffle in the corner. First off don't even think that this was Matt Cooke being a dirty player and that he did this on purpose. It was just one of those freak plays that happen. No timeline has been given yet for Karlsson's return but I think its safe to say that he won't be back this season. Hopefully he can return from this injury and still be a great player. We already have Michalek playing on robotic knees so hopefully EK can get a hold of Milo's doctor. Speaking of Michalek he also disappeared before the game last night with a mysterious undisclosed injury. No word on what exactly is the extent of his injury yet. So without Spezza, Michalek, Karlsson and Jared Cowen I think its safe to say we are fucked and need to focus on shipping out Gonchar at the deadline and going

This Is It

LOSER Tonight and this afternoon will be an outright cluster&@$^.  I can't even begin to try to calculate who we are going to end up playing in the first round.  If we lose tonight it will be the Leafs, simple as that.  If we win and Boston loses their game to Washington then things will get interesting tomorrow night in the finale game of Ottawa vs Boston.  So basically win for drama and lose to play the Leafs.   My heart says lose and sweep the Leafs out in the first round for what would be revenge for every Saturday night game of my childhood living in Ontario.  My sensible self says win and end up playing an easier team seeded way lower than us.  It is going to be an interesting 40 hours ahead.  Oh, and if we draw the Sens in the first round I'd be all over some tickets, so kinda hoping for that too. Gametime is 7PM on CBC. Go Habs Go!
