The Minnesota Wild Are Still A Really Good Hockey Team

Other than San Jose, no team has struggled as much as the Minnesota Wild over the past 3 weeks. This team has lost a lot of games since the trade deadline, and their acquisition of Martin Hanzal.  

They have played tight games, but overall its been a shit show in Minny.  Until they scored 5 goals against the Senators this past week.  Nobody scores five goals against the Senators. 

Quick confession, today was the first time I have ever been the Minnesota Wild website.  

When you look up and down this roster they have enough talent and depth to make a deep playoff run this year.  Arguably Chicago is going to have a tougher route to the Finals than Minnesota would have.  

The inevitable Chicago vs. Nashville first round series will likely go seven games, while over in the East Washington will likely sweep the Bruins out 😏

I can easily see this Minnesota team playing for the Stanley Cup this year, and their fans deserve it. 

2003 the Mighty Ducks beat out the Wild in a horrible sweep. 

In 2008 their team entered the playoffs as division champions, but got beat out in the first round.  Two second round losses and a first round lost last year and this team has shown some major playoff holes.  

I'm not saying the Wild can beat the Capitals, but if they don't make the Stanley Cup Finals this year, with this roster, they never will.
